About Us.
Our miniature line at Crunch-Waffle takes the common distinction between historical and fantasy miniature lines ...and trashes it entirely. We want to explore historical subjects such as American Indians, Polynesians, Africans, and so on, but we want to explore them within the context of Fantasy Gaming. This way you get warriors, witch doctors, and healers from various cultural backgrounds; you also get their monsters too. And we put all of them together with standard fantasy themes. The Crunch-Waffle line has its share of orcs, wizards, and warriors. It also brings you Chupacabra, Maori Warriors, and Giant Archer Fish.
Our mission is to bring you a variety of miniature concepts previously untouched in the gaming community. We commission the majority of our pieces, using established sculptors as well as emerging talent. On occasion, we also purchase fantasy sculpts that simply catch our eye. We will pass by no opportunity to expand the options available through the Crunch-Waffle line.
Human miniatures for the Crunch-Waffle line are typically 30-32mm tall, with some notable exceptions. Monsters vary accordingly. All of our miniatures are made of lead-free pewter and all are sold unpainted.
NEW PRODUCTS
We have two new product lines at Crunch-Waffle Enterprises; Kitchen Geeketry (a line of Refrigerator Magnets) and Ink Well Heraldry (a line of Postcards). Game Themes feature prominently in both of these product lines. Both include a lot of humor as well as some painting aids. Kitchen Geeketry also includes a number of simple Game Aids intended to help you get useful charts up off the table and out of the way of your game.
COMING PROJECTS
Crunch-Waffle Enterprises is planning three major writing projects in the upcoming year, the skirmish game ETC (Enter the Twilight Conflicts!), our own RPG game system, and the development of our own campaign setting.
A new version of the Skirmish Game, Enter the Twilight Conflicts, will be released in print form in April of 2008. It will consist of approximately 80 pages of b&w text with a soft cover exterior. The game features a fast and furious combat system with a broad range of special abilities. With this game, players can put American Indians up against European swordsmen, and the lot of them up against orcs, Polynesians, Africans, and who knows what else. It’s perfect for putting Crunch-Waffle minis into action on the game table.
A Role Playing version of Enter the Twilight Conflicts is under development now, intended for release in August of 2008. Anyone interested in trying an early version of this game is invited to contact us at ETC Game Testing.
Work has started on our own campaign setting. This is intended for release in late 2008. More details will be released as this project develops.
